yay james is going to be better soon

   We finally got to go to the ENT and the audiologist very exciting stuff right there we first seen the audiologist who first did some test to show if his ears were draining properly his left ear was fine but his right ear had no movement and that would be the problem it is not draining at all then she did the sound test he did pretty good but he was tired and cranky so he started crying and couldn't hear the sounds over his own cry but the tests came back good and he will have a recheck in a month
  Then we seen the ENT and looked in his ears and showed us the tubes he would be inserting into his ears I also talked to him about James being tongue tied he took a look and decided it would benefit for him to clip the skin under his tongue while he has him there getting the tubes done only took me 2 years but I am finally getting my way there is no need for my son to have a speech problem if he doe not have to
   All in all today went great me and him are exhausted but a lot of important things got done I am very excited about him getting these tubes and hopefully not get sick so much and his tongue getting clipped now hopefully after both of these issues are fixed he will start talking since his ears can delay speech and him being tongue tied and affect how he speaks he will get all of this done on Friday everyone is surprised how fast they got us in I am kind of shocked myself  so hopefully this ear infection that we got checked out this weekend will be the last one fingers crossed

workforce is driving me crazy

so I finally get a job great right yea well workforce wants to do everything in their power to keep from  being able to transition so I go to turn in my employment verification 2 weeks ago she said wait till you start working to turn it in mind you I had to fill out a form to opted out of the program due to my son constantly being sick so I should have been ok either way
   well I faxed over that form twice signed and filled out by me and my pediatrician not good enough because there was not a time frame well how is my pediatrician going to fill out a time frame when they are not the ones doing the procedure well I told her by the time I seen the ENT dcf would have already gotten a hit that I started working well apparently not I tried to send it in last week since I started training and it was not good enough even though everything was filled out
  I went to my job this morning had them refill it out and add some notes to it so there was no way there could be any errors I was wrong again my caseworker has to talk to her supervisor if it will be accepted because I will not be making minimum wage I am a driver so I get a lower pay because I receive tips
  According to workforce they tally your hours you complete for them when you get a job by your paycheck stub and divide it by minimum wage and that's how they get yours hours and if you don't meet your requirement you still have to go to a work site to meet them I am supposed to complete 16 hours a week so even if I work 16 hours a week because I don't make minimum wage my paycheck stub divided by minimum wage would not meet my hours I don't even understand how they can even do that why do they not have multiple ways to calculate hours due to people working jobs where they rely on their tips waitresses mainly so what I am getting from this is if I were a waitress and worked 40 hours a week reported to my caseworker with my paycheck stub and totaled out my hours based on minimum wage I would not meet the requirement and there for have to find time to do hours at a work site absolutely crazy does not make sense and I am just done with workforce altogether no matter what anyone does it is not good enough even the paperwork they have you fill and you do with everything they ask is still not good enough I do believe I will asking to be removed from the program so after this month I can just be done since I have a job I am losing the benefits I was doing it for anyway so what will it matter just fed up completely fed up

memorial day weekend

memorial day weekend started out well but like every other holiday weekend james ended up sick again poor thing I had to take him to urgent care on sunday because of a high fever of course he had another ear infection so they started the injections again
 went back Monday afternoon for the second injection and by 11 oclock that night I had to rush him to the er because he was vomiting every where mind you I told the doctor that he was weezing and his cough was getting worse but they thought nothing of it so because the cough had gotten so bad it caused him to vomit everywhere for hours so they prescribed him some cough medicine to help which it did he finally got some sleep after 2 days
  then we had to go back Tuesday for the final injection I inform the doctor what had happened the night before and he looked stunned he couldn't understand why he was getting worse so he ordered a chest xray and come to find out he has bronchitis they did a breathing treatment and gave him the final injection and prescribed an inhaler for ever 6 hours
 finally after all of this they finally came to the conclusion he needs tubes in his ears and gave me a referral to see the ENT so Monday we meet with the audiologist and the ENT and see what is going on and set up the apt for him to get his tubes
I am glad that my baby boy will be getting better soon I just feel they could have decided this alittle sooner so my son didn't have to suffer so much and I also feel that I am his mother I know when something is off and they should not brush my concerns off like they are nothing if they would have listened to me my son probably would have not had to go to the hospital and we could have caught his bronchitis a little sooner I would say change pediaitricians but I have noticed with have been to a few that they are all the same except for one but he is in Indiana and that does not help me much here

people and trying to stop the elevator

ok people I just want everyone to know every time someone sticks there hand in the school elevator to stop it from closes it just about gives me a heart attack especially when it is almost closed you see a hand reach through it I swear one of these days the door isn't going to stop and it will close with some ones are in it and then there will be a final destination type situation
   I do not want to be in the elevator when that happens so please wait for the elevator to come back down and yes I know it takes for forever that is why there are stairs losing your arm or getting hurt is not worth catching the elevator
  I am not trying to be rude but I was just on the elevator and this guy sticks his hand in the door when it was almost close and we really thought that the door wasn't going to stop I went to hit the stop button when it finally stopped me and the other lady had a look of terror of our face when he did that the lady that was on the elevator told me she thought she could run through the doors when she first started working here and had bruises on her side from the doors not stopping so please don't risk it and wait

I GOT A JOB!!!!!

me and my son moved back to florida last june and it has been a struggle since I didn't have anyone to watch james and couldn't afford daycare so I couldn't get a job and since we have been back I have been trying and trying to get things in order for us so I can do what moms are supposed to be able to do to take care of their children yes I was there for him every day and took care of him physically but financially I have not been able to do it my mom has been taking care of us since my sons father has decided he wants to boost about being a dad to everyone but not really be one he just likes the sound it
   so after many many accomplishments and many many set backs I decided if I cant work yet I can atleast further my education so I went back to school once I did that things started to come together even more finally got my assistance through the state and started workforce that allowed me to qualify for 4c so james could go to daycare great right well even after all that I was still having a hard time finding a job so I still felt like a disappointment to my son because I could not care for him like I should be able to
  well last Thursday I woke up and said that it is it today is the day I am going to get a job and I did as soon as the hiring manager called me to tell me I got the job I started crying and I cried most of the rest of the day I was so proud of myself after everything I had gone through the last year it was finally paying off and I finally will be able to be the mom I should be and take care of my son in every aspect of life hard work really does pay off and I have never worked so hard in my life for anything but when you have a child it changes everything and you will walk the ends of the earth to make sure you can take care of your child so now I am a working single mother who also goes to school full time and spends every extra minute with my son I am blessed for this opportunity to really do something with my life and if it weren't for my mothers help it would have been possible even now I am tearing up I am so excited cant wait for my first day :)

great mothers day crazy monday

i had a great mothers day got up got some awesome gifts from my son including chocolate covered strawberries that he got into as soon as he handed them to me lol  we hung around the house for most of the day then we went to dinner where they handed out carnations for all the moms got home and went for a walk
  while on our walk we noticed a heron mind you I seen this bird in the morning and thought it was just hanging out it wasn't until that evening when I seen it again I thought something was wrong turns out the birds leg was broke and just didn't have it in him so we called animal control and I ran home and got him some food to hold him over for a bit til he got rescued I went back a little later to check on him and he was gone so I called the animal control officer and told her I thought he flew away turns out she had just picked him up and his leg was snapped in half they will probably amputate it they will be sending him to rehab an hopefully he will be able to learn to hop on one leg so we did a good deed feels good to help animals that cant help themselves
   so at the very end of the day I noticed my son had blood coming out of his nose and we had a rough night so I take him to the pediatrician today and guess what after his follow up on Friday telling me his ears looked great and he was fine his ear got infected again and because they had already used all 3 antibiotics they use to treat ear infections they now have to do injections he had 1 today and has to go for 2 more this week if this does not work then they may try one more antibiotic they rarely use for ear infections or they just may send us to the ENT and put tubes in his ears saddens me to see my baby so miserable and I cant do anything to help I really hope this works so though I had a great mothers day I am having a very emotional Monday please keep my baby boy in your prayers

great weekend

my weekend started Friday night going out with some good friends that I have found since starting here at city college for my birthday we didn't do anything but sit there and talk and eat and we had a blast my friend stephanies daughter watched james for him and I think he had as much fun as we did with her kids I am so glad I chose to go here I have met some amazing people
   Saturday was nothing special we had to recover alittle bit from so much fun Friday night lol I had to go to work for a little bit that evening but it was a great because I got to spend most of the day with james I don't get see him that much anymore and I cherish all the time we get together way more now since its only on the weekends really now that he is in daycare
   sunday was a busy brain wracking day my friends from school decided to have a study day and of course it was the one day last week where it was absolutely beautiful outside but our education is more important james had fun playing with Curtis and stephanies grandkids and Stephanie played with him in the pool for a little bit he had a blast doing that and we got some work done then we went over to james grandparents where he ran a muck til he finally wore himself out got his belly full and fell asleep at the dinner table it was the cutest thing ever
   so even though we had a busy weekend we had a great weekend I am excited about this new chapter in our lives because it is really looking like it is going to be a great one for us

sunday funday

so after my son get ill last week and didn't seem to get better I took him back to the doctor on Friday and so it seems the doctor had him on the wrong antibiotic and his left ear looked really bad so after we got everything straightened out james finally started to feel better right in time too
     my brother in law came into to town sunday for morning and we had a family sunday fun day first we went to the Apopka art and foliage festival james was his uncles little buddy every where uncle went james went anything uncle ate james ate it was the cutest thing ever we walked around looking at everything and vegged out cotton candy, funnel cake, ice cream, also him and uncle ate some fresh cucmbers and got some food from one of the food trucks james heard the music playing in the gazebo and boy did he get down of course I had to record it and post it to facebook which everyone enjoyed he got pretty wore out from that adventure and he got a nice little cat nap on the way home
   once we got home let us all rest for a few and let james get refueled  his uncle decided it was time for him to take his first trip to the movie theater so we went up to the dollar theater in Altamonte to go see the nut job got us some popcorn and drinks then headed into the movies I was so nervous about how he would act didn't help his uncle taught him how to throw popcorn so they had a nice popcorn war I was very impressed by my little guy he did very well he sat there ate his popcorn and actually watched the majority of the movie he fell asleep at the very end I think he only did so good to impress uncle bj but we had a very nice time
     finally our day was coming to an end and uncle had to leave he said he might be coming back in a few weeks I know james will enjoy that he doesn't get man time it always just me and my mom with him so im glad he gets time here and there with his uncle then to finish our night off we had a steak baked potato and Zellwood sweet corn for dinner yummy yummy yummy now back to the normal run of the mill week

crazy week so far

easter weekend went very well james my son got to do a easter egg hunt on saturday and he got to do 2 of them on sunday with his grandparents but it wassunday night at the dinner table that the weekend took a turn james eyes started gooing up with this green stuff so no hesitation cleaned up our mess got everything ready and off to the doctor we went

  come to find out james had pink eye and a double ear infection my poor lil guy was sick again apparently the antibiotics he was on originally a few weeks ago for a double ear infection wasnt strong enough to take care of the infection the first time and even though i took him for a follow up days before this diagnosis and was told he was fine they said it was hiding waiting to make a grand entrance and a grand entrance it made

  since monday his temp has bounced around from normal all the way to 104 i am trying to kepp up with school work every day things and take care of james he has been so sick and i have been freaking out i have never seen my son like this before and it has been very scary for the both of us i was hoping he would be turning a corner by now but since yesterday he hasnt been able to eat not that he doesnt want to but anything he tries to swallow he starts whining and crying so back to the doctor today to see what this could be and this time  am not going to be so nice they need to figure out what it is really wrong with him and stop just throwing things out there i can see the double ear infection but not the pink eye seeing as i co sleep and have such close contact with him by all means i should have pink eye so i dont know what to think or do i just want my baby to feel better i guess we will just have to see what to doctor says today

busy busy busy

so I have been one busy little bee lately between school working for workforce at the goodwill studying looking for a job and taking care of my son it has been pretty hectic and to top it off I have been sick since last term and every time I start to feel like I am getting better BAM it hits me like a ton of bricks it really has been effecting me getting everything done
   I am a pretty determined person but whatever has a hold of me is taking its toll like right now I am running a fever and my head is spinning but even though I feel like this I had to get up to go to school I hope I can make it the whole night
   I have been getting everything done by the skin of my teeth and if I were feeling better I would have everything done with time to spare I guess it could be worse and I am keeping a positive attitude and remember I can do this and everything will be ok but it seems every time things start going well for me 100 things wrong happen but that's life right it will just make me stronger when I finally get to where I need to be just have to stay focused and remember this is all for James
  though I will say this I am not used to being on my feet so much anymore so now that I work for the goodwill I am constantly walking back and forth so it has been an adjustment its a good workout and I really enjoy working for them they are very friendly people I wish they would actually hire me so I had a real job that I actually liked and worked with my school hours but this is what this experience is for to potentially get a job so we shall see

first night in computer class

I am sitting here in my first computer class for this term and i have to say I am completely and utterly lost LOL I have no idea what I am doing but I think I am just putting to much pressure on myself to do well just relax and go with the flow and just type how hard can that be right I guess it is a little tougher then it looks since none of us really know what to blog about yet LOL
    knowing me most of my blogs will be about my son he is my whole world everything revolves around him he is just so smart funny and handsome not to brag about all the time I guess it is a mommy thing like today he had picture day and yesterday he ate the concrete with his face so we will see how his first school pictures turn out see my blog is supposed to be about my first night in computer class and I am talking about my son.
     anywhoo like I said this class is going to give me a challenge due to the fact I have no working computer at home and I have no clue about computers beside the basics which is crazy seeing as I live in a world full of technology but I guess we all have to start somewhere I learned how to blog tonight I am blogging right now never knew til right now see I am learning something new as we speak LOL I cant wait to find out what we learn next week just hope I can get caught up with last weeks classes so that I am not behind and starting freaking out about being behind oh well we shall see well it is nice to meet all of you excited for our class together for the next 11 weeks have a great night
